The Memphis Grizzlies have been soiled in trade rumors for the past few weeks with Rudy Gay’s and Zach Randolph’s names being mentioned, but it looks as if those franchise guys will be saved thanks to a salary-cut trade the Grizzlies made with the Cleveland Cavaliers via Y! Sports:
The Grizzlies traded forward Marreese Speights, guards Wayne Ellington and Josh Selby and a second-round pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for guard Jon Leuer on Tuesday morning, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Thanks to slashing some money elsewhere, the Grizzlies saved $6 million and are beneath the luxury tax, which was the issue to begin with.
