Former high-flying, fan-favorite Denver Nugget, Chris “Birdman” Andersen will be sitting among some good company; he’ll be sharing a bench with the best player in the league, LeBron James, arguably one of the best shooting guards, Dwyane Wade, and also Chris Bosh and Ray Allen.

Well, at least for 10 days he will.

The Miami Heat are in need of some rebounding signed the big man to a 10-day contract via Sun Sentinel:

The Heat shook up their power rotation by signing veteran center Chris Andersen.

The Miami Heat are in desperate need of a big man who can rebound and protect the rim. Chr is Andersen is in desperate need of a job since the Denver Nuggets waived him last season.

Match made in heaven?

Maybe.

”It’s been nine months since I’ve been on the floor,” he said. “I’m just overwhelmed to be here. They’re taking a chance with me and I’m here to give them everything I’ve got.”

I may have cringed when he shot jumpers or fell for the pump-fakes in Denver, but I’m delighted to see him have an opportunity to have a shot back in the league.

Although, he’s gonna look off sitting alongside LeBron.
