Another day, another dollar, the Lakers lose, so go ahead and holler.
Okay, that was really corny, but Lakers loses – Philly edged them out Tuesday night with huge games from Evan Turner and Jrue Holiday – are becoming the norm. As stated preseason, Los Angeles can’t compete against young, aggressive and athletic teams.
Even Kobe Bryant agrees their advanced age has something to do with that via ESPN:
“Cause we’re old as s—,” said the 34-year-old Bryant when asked why a lack of energy has been a problem for L.A. all season. “What do you want? We just got to figure out how to play when we don’t have that energy. We got to change things up a little bit defensively. We got to figure out what we want to do offensively, figure out what we want to do on nights when we don’t have those legs or have that energy.”
The Lakers could take a page out of the Spurs book and negate their weak legs with veteran IQ, but so far that hasn’t happened.
