You may know Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets as the power forward with endless energy, unrelenting hustle, and a powerful passion for the NBA; he’s awesome to say the least.
That passion isn’t just on the hardwood, but carries over to his home life as well. You may not know this, but Faried has two mothers, Waudda and Carol, and he made a video supporting LGBT families’ right to civil union.
As someone who has a gay sibling, I find Faried’s video welcoming, admirable and a fresh of breath air in a league’s culture that is focused around heterosexuality and masculinity.
Faried has cemented himself and his voice in a public fashion.
