Kendrick Perkins is kinda surly, never really smiles, but is kinda peeved about all the Los Angeles Laker talk.
He’s upset that the Lakers and their super moves this off-season has the media dubbing the Lakers the 2013 NBA Champs, but Perkins does not like it one bit.
“I knew the hype was going to be over there on that end and all that.
“We are the Western Conference champs,” Perkins said. “So at the end of the day, we’re not chasing nobody except for the ring. We’re chasing Miami to get a championship. It’s no guarantee who is going to be where. But we earned the Western champs so we’re not chasing the Lakers, we’re chasing a championship and that’s what it’s about.”
Unlike his teammate, Kevin Durant, Perkins isn’t admitting their conference rival is better on paper, and perhaps that’s the way to go about it. Perkins is outspoken and is vocal about the Thunder being the WC champs and the Lakers still have to win games. Notice something else Perkins said, “we;re chasing Miami” and that may be a not so sub at the Los Angeles Lakers.
