Andrew Bynum is now a Philadelphia 76er and you must know what that means? You don’t?

Silly rabbit, it means some pointless player on the 76ers is pumping up Andrew Bynum to the media, just like they should. After all, aren’t you to believe your teammates are the best?

Here’s Dorell Wright saying Bynum is better than Dwight Howard:

“He’s going to need two defenders to stop him; I would say he’s the best big man in the NBA right now, hands down,” Wright, speaking at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, said. “He’s a guy that can give you baskets with his back to the basket; a guy who makes free throws at 7-feet. You’ve just got to respect him.”

Get this, the reporter was trying to helpWright out by asking if this was because Howard isn’t 100% healthy yet?

“No way, I’d say it any day. It’s because I know he can put his back to the basket and give us a basket and request a double team and make free throws,” Wright continued. “It’s his all-around game. Hopefully he can stay healthy and we can ride, he can put us on his back and he can take us as far as we can go.”

“It’s his all-around game”

Sure, Andrew Bynum is a good defender, but in comparison to Dwight Howard; there isn’t a contest. They’re offensive games are pretty much cancel one another out, and another selling point is Dwight Howard gives more of a consistent effort, while Bynum …well, sometimes you never know what you are going to get with Bynum much like a box of chocolates.

Despite all of that, the gap isn’t THAT colossal between the two big men, just one is more active on defense (Hello, three-time defensive player of the year).
