ESPN.com and their TrueHoop Network have ranked the players of the NBA and releasing their rankings on twitter ( @NBAonESPN), from number 500 to number 1. They have finally broke into the top 100 players and have ranked Kenneth Faried, starting power forward for the Denver Nuggets, at #71.
Kenneth Faried, despite “experts” thinking he wouldn’t do well during his rookie season as a part of the Denver Nuggets due to his size, took the NBA by storm.
He didn’t play regularly until Nene became injured and was sidelined, and by that time the Manimal was unleashed.
His energy was infectious, he had an insurmountable amount of passion, his cleaned the glass better than a window cleaner, not to mention the way he dunked with his hair trailing behind him…..
He was poetry in motion.
He averaged 10.2 points on 58.6% shooting, 7.7 rebounds, 1.0 block per game and a PER of 21.94
The steal of the 2011 NBA Draft.
Faried should see 28 minutes, maybe a few more, going into next season. As well, he should garner frequent double-doubles in 2012-2013 and competing with JaVale McGee for dunk leader in Denver.
With a frontcourt that will consist of Faried, McGee, and Danilo Gallinari, things will get physical in the Mile High.
