League leader of dunks in 2011-2012 Blake Griffin is the next to give a sub to the Los Angeles Lakers by saying they “look great on paper” and that’s about it:
“On paper it looks great,” Griffin said during a recent visit to Norman. “People said the same thing when we got C.P., Chris Paul. But they still got to go out there and play.”
“I think there’s a lot of tough teams in the Western Conference. There’s one right here (in Oklahoma City) that the Lakers have to get over,” Griffin said. “The Spurs have been a good team for the past 500 years. And I think we’re preparing for that. So that’s kind of what you expect people to do. You expect them to hand out the trophy in the middle of the summer. So we’re not worried about that. We’re not worried about just the Lakers.”
Here we have it again, pretty decent logic being thrown out, but it will probably fall on deaf years.
Just like we seen the Miami Heat struggle in their first season together, the same could happen to the Los Angeles Lakers, not to mention the Lakers are considerably older than the Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Griffin also points out that the Miami Heat added Ray Allen and the Thunder are still contenders as well. It’s easy to crown a team that made phenomenal moves like the Lakers did, but the real prize isn’t won until June.

Blake needs to win something before he opens his mouth regarding winning teams. Jumping over a car does’t count for squat. He’s not a champion as of yet. Humility is golden when you have nothing
