John Salley ranks Jordan outside of his top 5 greatest NBA players ever

You may remember John Salley from the Bad Boys of Detroit era in which Detroit was often touted as a MJ stopper during that era.

Salley was on ESPN Radio’s The Herd with Colin Cowherdin which he discussed players he thought were greater than Jordan, and while they aren’t scrubs, NBA fans may have a heart attack.

He put Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon and Kevin McHale ahead of his Royal Airness.

It gets better as Salley comments the greatest player he’s ever played with was Isiah Thomas, even though he played on the 1996 Chicago Bulls. Yeah, the legendary 96 Chicago Bulls.

Perhaps, someone still has a hangup over Jordan.

Just maybe.
