Those fake Woj, Chris Broussard, Stephen Smith accounts are the worst. People on twitter want to be the first to report something, they don’t double-check the handle, let alone the account. Now the fake accounts even have tricked journalists and radio stations such as this Miami Fox affiliate who reported on twitter and LIVE T.V that Ray Allen signed with the Miami Heat.
Here’s the thing….it NEVER happened.
A few minutes ago, Miami’s TV station WSVN reported that Ray Allen would sign a 3-year 11-million dollar contract with the Miami Heat.
The tweet has now been deleted and is nowhere to be found.
It was widely assumed and tweeted that the source of the misinformation was a fake Twitter account th0ught to be Adrian Wojnarowski, a well-respected Yahoo! NBA Insider.
Yeah, the FAKE Woj struck again.
