The former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Ramon Sessions has been in contact with the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend and although nothing has come of it, the two parties are reported to resume conversations on Monday via ESPN. It’s also reported that the Rockets are also in the mix as Ramon is looking for a starting gig.

The Dallas Mavericks likely will resume talks with Ramon Sessions on Monday, according to a source close to the situation.

Discussions between the Mavericks and Sessions did not advance over the weekend, but Dallas and Houston appear to be at the top of the free-agent point guard’s list because of the possibility of a starting role with either club.

Dallas is in dire need of a point guard as they lost out on the Deron Williams and Steve Nash sweepstakes along with Jason Kidd signing with the New York Knicks.
