Ah, yes, it’s time for DwightMare 2.0. Last time you may have remembered all the rumors and hoopla surrounding the indecisive big man, but in the end he stayed the rest of the 2012 season with Orlando ……… ONLY TO DO IT AGAIN!
Yes, Orlando should have just traded his whiny ass to New Jersey, but then again Otis Smith wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box. Now, we have to live through another episode(s) of DwightMare.
BUT!
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the East and DwightMare might be gone like the sun.
Yes, there is hope that — according to the reports swirling around like cotton candy — Dwight Howard may be traded by Draft Day. Apparently, Houston was trying to trade their #14 and #16 picks for picks higher in the draft that would in turn would be sent to Orlando for Dwight Howard’s services. If acquired by Houston, they understand that all of this work may just be for a rental as another report has surfaced saying in no way would Howard stay long-term in Houston.
Amid a report that stated the Houston Rockets are hoping to amass enough trade assets to make a deal with the Orlando Magic for Dwight Howard–even though Howard would only be in Houston for one season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2013 — a source with knowledge of Howard’s thinking said Monday that there was “not a chance” Howard would be persuaded to remain in Houston if traded there, and would leave next summer to sign elsewhere.
Houston is willing to trade all their chips just in order to rent Dwight; Sunday there was a rumor in which Kyle Lowry was being dangled to the Kings or the Raptors for a higher pick and today we hear Kevin Martin’s name is in the mix, too.
League sources said Monday that the Rockets have put guard Kevin Martin in at least two trade packages, and it’s believed that the Rockets are also shopping guard Kyle Lowry, who started at point guard before being sidelined with a bacterial infection that caused him to miss almost a month of the season.
Houston must be drinking some of that “crazy-baby-mama juice” or they really like drama because this is a HUGE invitation for that from Dwight.
This could turn into something for Houston, or it could be a load of shit and Dwight could very well be traded to the Nets.
At the end of the day, it’s time to end this DwightMare once and for all.
For the children…..
