NEWSFLASH: LeBron James takes responsibility for letting down his teammates and playing poorly in last year’s finals, something every man, woman, child and pet in the free world knows.
This is what he told media on Monday via Ira Winderman:
“I didn’t play well,” he said during Monday NBA Finals media day…. “I think I said that 100 times this year. I didn’t play well. I didn’t make enough game-changing plays that I know I’m capable of making, and I felt like I let my teammates down. I don’t know. I don’t know if that’s something I haven’t said before. Just didn’t make enough plays.
“I’m happy and I’m humbled that I can actually be back in this position less than 12 months later, to do a better job of making more plays, more game-changing plays out on the floor on a bigger stage.”
The real issue at this junctures is if Bron turned his disappointment last season into a learning experience. Is he going into the 2012 Finals with a renewed mental awareness and toughness or will we see that LeBron again?
Nothing short of 110% effort, stamina and short will do, we are about to see if LeBron James lived and learned.
