Tuesday night was just another night for me: watching the NBA Finals, blogging and live tweeting except for this time something was different.
LeBron James spoke to me differently…and not just me, but the “Mr.” as well as we almost finished each other’s sentences….
LeBron James has become a….
I finish with “man” and he with “he’s grown”
Although, different words are used, you understand the gist of it all.
We are seeing a new LeBron James, the switch has been flicked and even he admits it.
“Last year after Game 6, after losing once again, I was very frustrated. I was very hurt that I let my teammates down, and I was very immature.”
It’s not just in his speak, but there’s this new aura around LeBron; one that has this innate comfort, his sustainability is present and he’s focused. His attention is on the prize and less attention on the media….the critics…the haters…the Skip’s.
“Like I said, last year I played to prove people wrong instead of just playing my game, instead of just going out and having fun and playing a game that I grew up loving and why I fell in love with the game. So I was very immature last year after Game 6 toward you guys and toward everyone that was watching.”
Make fun of his hair follicles….his receding hairline…..”The Decision” …..insert the Delonte West jokes….the 4th quarter jokes…..
None of that matters to LeBron and you can see it across his face, LeBron has entered manhood.
“And I may be wrong. I probably am wrong about that. But I’m just more comfortable. I think just me being more comfortable and me just trying to seize my opportunity.”
LeBron Raymone James is on the edge of glory, one win away….
He’s ready to seize and claim his NBA kingdom.
