This shouldn’t come across as a surprise as the New York Knicks are strapped for cash next season and can only offer the vet’s minimum, but could use a “glue guy” like Oklahoma City Thunder’s Derek Fisher.
Marc Berman reports that the Knicks franchise will show interest in the former Los Angeles Laker:
Fisher has looked good in first 2 games and may be increasing free-agent MV. #Knicks will have interest for the vet. minimum ($1.4 million). “This is his 8th Finals in 16 years,”Brooks said. “As a player you wish you can get there once. He still has good games in him, and he’s helped us win a lot of games since he has been with us. He’s helping this team win this year, and he’s going to help this team win many years with all the things that they’ve took from him this past two or three months.’’
