Granted the New York Knicks have a number 48 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, it’s safe to assume this rumor makes sense. Also, take into account that the Knickerbocker franchise is strapped for cash next season, New York is eager to get their hands wet with the talent-laden draft this year.
The Knicks and Nets are said to be exploring ways to obtain a first-round pick. The Knicks currently hold the No. 48 overall selection, while the Nets’ first choice comes at No. 57. It may not be as difficult as it sounds, either. According to one general manager, several teams with two first-rounders are looking to trade down. The teams mentioned most include the Trail Blazers, Warriors and Celtics.
It will be interesting to see what the Knicks or the Nets have up their sleeve as Draft night draws near, as mentioned, plenty of teams that have first round picks are looking to trade down.

I love the way this team is constructed. I like the fact, that we have a super star scoring machine at sf. we have a solid sg rotation i-man, jr, landry and I always liked walker. Chandler is one of the best centers in the game. we are so solid at the wing positions and center spot. Now point gaurd. did you beleive the hype. I sure did. mark my words. Lin is the truth! you think brandon jennings plays with chip on his sholders when he plays the knicks. well this kid has one on the whole nba. febuary was just a taste of what he got instored for the assosiation. and I know we do not want to fall victom to that. so he’ll definatlly be on our side. Now stat. can we make a strong push with him on the squad? SURE we can, but our chances would be alot better if we could trade him. I know that he is one of the best scoring forwords in the game but thats about it.hes weak on the boards, to many rebounds goes flying over his head, he is often injured, and that $100million cntract could free up alot of cap room. Yeh I know he held it down before melo came to town. but we know whos the man. and when he hurt himself for the second time, seecond pplayoff seriese, in back-to-back
