J.R. Smith arrested on outstanding warrant

New York Knicks sharp shooter, J.R. Smith, has always been a bad boy of sorts, always find himself on the wrong side of law much like his troubles on the basketball court.

This time his arrest  is in association with having no valid driver’s license according to jail records via NBA Miami.

The 26-year-old, whose real name is Earl Joseph Smith, was arrested around 9 p.m., Miami Beach Police spokesman Sgt. Bobby Hernandez said.

Smith was booked into jail just before midnight, records showed.

The details of the warrant were unknown.

I wonder if his warrant stemmed for trying to ride a scooter without a license? An offense he was popped for last May in which he wasn’t arrested for but had to make a court appearance for.

In any attempt, his best bet is to just stay with the Knicks.
