The Denver Nuggets squad has been riddled with injuries this season, and it has affected no one more than small forward Danilo Gallinari He first suffered a severe ankle sprain earlier in the season and missed 13 games because of this. He returned back to action after the All-Star break, but just a mere 16 days ago, he fractured his thumb (non-shooting hand) and it seemed like Denver couldn’t shake the injury bug.
However, the basketball gods must have a soft spot for the Italian as he practiced today – he even spent an extra hour post practice performing drills, defensive maneuvers, and handles.
The Denver Nuggets NEED him more than ever; his offensive presence, 15.2 PPG, his defensive presence, 4.9 RPG, and his underrated passing ability, 2.6 APG are missed greatly to the squad.
