It seemed inevitable that Memphis would win Game one of the Clippers-Grizzlies series, but with a meltdown on the Grizzlies part, Nick Young getting HOT and Clippers going on a 29-3 run in the 4th quarter would swing LA’s way.
The Clippers would make 8 more FG’s than Memphis and grabbed 13 more rebounds than Memphis in the 4th quarter. Prior to Rudy Gay’s shot with 28 seconds remaining, Clippers had gone on a 26-1 run. Once again, Memphis had led by 21 points entering the 4th quarter and by as much as 27 points with 2:38 left in the 3rd quarter.
In 8 minutes, Memphis only scored 3 points. One. Two. Three. Points.
