It’s been a few weeks since I have done a fan spotlight, well here it is!!! Of course, I highlighted a New York Knicks fans this week. It has nothing to do with the Denver vs. New York game today. None, whatsoever.
1. What moment did the NBA sweep you off your feet?
When the Knicks won the NBA draft and selected Patrick Ewing with the first pick.
2. Who is your team & how long?
I’ve been a New York Knicks fan for as long as I can remember. My dad raised my older brother and I to be Knicks fan. I’m now doing that with my son. I’m 43 yrs old.
3. Favorite moment as a fan?
Watching the Knicks make it to the NBA finals in 1999
4. Worst moment?
The 1997 fight with the Indiana Pacers that caused suspensions that made the Knicks to lose that playoff series. That Knicks team would of won it all that year. Close second is 6’11″ Charles Smith not being able to dunk against the Bulls. Softest player ever.
5. Most hated player?
Michael Jordan. I get angry everytime I see him in some Haynes underwear commercial.
6. A team you secretly cheer for?
San Antonio Spurs. They play strong defense that reminds me of a slightly watered down version of the great defensive teams of the Knicks in the 90′s.
7. You have to choose between being a Boston fan or a Miami fan, which do you choose?
A self inflicted bullet wound to the head.
