I was able to snag the beautiful, knowledgeable and elusive @fullcourtpumps for my NBA Fan Spotlight this week.
1. When did you fall in love with the NBA?
I fell in love with the NBA when I was in about the 5th grade. That’s when I started playing basketball. Thinking I could beat the guys. I started playing organized basketball when I reached junior high and we received tickets to alot of the Magic games. I fell in love with the game ever since.
2. Who is your team? How long?
I’m from Orlando and have been going to Orlando Magic games for as long as I can remember. Through thick and thin, a one man team to Championship contenders, I have rolled with the Magic.
3. Favorite moment as a fan.
My favorite moment as a fan was pretty recent actually. Beating Lebron and the Cavaliers in the ECF before taking on the Lakers in the finals. I got to be at the game where we eliminated Cleveland and Lebron walked off the court in shambles. This was also in the old arena, before Amway was built.
4 worst moment?
Besides losing to the Lakers in the Finals in which we lost games we SHOULD have won, losing players such as Shaq and even TMac were pretty bad. Losing Dwight Howard this season is going to hurt my heart as a fan as well.
5. Any altercations after a game? Verbal?
When I lived in Atlanta, I made sure I went to every Magic game played at Phillips. Those fans talk nasty. I’ve actually gotten into a few arguments in that arena for rooting against the hawks. But that’s the stuff I live for!!!
6. Player you secretly love?
Javale McGee of the Wizards. He’s just so goofy. Boy the things I would…..nvm.
7. Stranded on a mountain top, name 3 players you wanna be stuck with? Past or present
.Stranded on top of a mountain I want to be stuck with Metta World Peace because he’d probably beat up whatever bear may attack us, Nate Robinson to keep me laughing, and either MJ or Magic, just because I know they have the capability to have one of their special copters come rescue us. They have THAT much money. No one would let Jordan or Magic go missing for too long! lol
